The reality television star and former Olympic Decathlon champion posted the short video on her Twitter account today (July 9) and it’s quickly going viral.
It shows just her hands as she attempts to apply a robin’s egg blue polish to her nails. As we say, not as easy as it looks.
“Fixing a nail,” Jenner can be heard muttering as she attempts to polish over a flaw in one nail. In a caption to the video, she added: “Still getting the hang of this. What do you think of the color?”
Jenner came out as a full transgender in a Vanity Fair cover story in the July issue. Since then, she’s never looked back.
She was 6’2″ tall and weight 194 pounds when she won the Decathlon on July 30, 1976, in Montreal, nearly 40 years ago this month. It’s fair to say she’s come a long way, baby.
Despite her heroic–and manly–achievement, Caitlyn says she’s always felt like a woman inside. She began the process of transforming the outside months and months ago, amid widespread rumors she was transitioning.
Since coming out she’s become the highest profile transgender woman in the world and has embraced the role with enthusiasm. She says she intends to be an advocate for the transgender community.
But Caitlyn still has a way to go before she fully becomes a woman. She plans to eventually have a sex change operation to complete the process, possibly next year.
“Up until now, I have totally isolated myself from the transgender community so I have a lot of catching up to do,” she wrote on her new WhoSay blog.
“I feel such a responsibility to this courageous group to try to get it right and tell all sides of the story. To me, that’s always the biggest question: am I doing it right?”
