Jennifer Lawrence looks like a red hot chili pepper amid a sea of white radishes in a new trailer for the upcoming “Hunger Games: Mockingjay 2” finale. Actually, the radishes are soldiers and she’s the “Mockingjay.”

It looks like it’s going to be quite a showdown.

In the previous movies, Lawrence’s character, Katniss Everdeen was forced to fight in the “Hunger Games,” an annual battle that pits two teens from each of 12 Districts in mortal combat.

Katniss wins her round along with District-mate Peeta, played by Josh Hutcherson. Although hailed as heroes–and lovers–Katniss and Peeta quickly learned about the regime’s corruption and the forced impoverishment of most of its citizens.

SAN DIEGO — Liam Hemsworth, Josh Hutcherson and Jennifer Lawrence pose on the press line after their Hall H panel where a new trailer of the movie was screened. They headed to the Conan O’Brian show afterward. They are a really fun and loose bunch; their friendship and closeness really shine through. Jennifer is as charming and wonderfully goofy as you would hope.

The final movie’s premise focuses on Katniss’s effort to assassinate President Snow (Donald Sutherland) in Panem and free the masses from the Capitol’s brutal oppression.

She’s joined by Peeta, Gale (Liam Hemsworth) and Finnick (Sam Claflin). The mission leaves Katniss with conflicted emotions. Meanwhile, President Snow is desperate to get her.

The release of the one-minute spot, more a promo than an actual full-length trailer, captured the theme of the “Hunger Games” panel at Comic-Con today (July 9) in San Diego. Lawrence was on hand along with other cast members.

The theme, billed as a “Message from District 13,” the seat of the rebellion, included a simple message “Stand With Us.”

“Anyone who loves the end of the book will love the end of the movie,” Director Francis Lawrence told the assembled fans, according to Entertainment Weekly.

The panel was moderated, oddly enough, by Conan O’Brien. Beside, Lawrence, Hutcherson and Hemsworth, Willow Shields (Katniss’s sister), Director Francis Lawrence, and Producer Nina Jacobson headed up the panel.

The film hits theaters Nov. 20.

Footnote: Beware of gossip sites peddling this as the Comic Con trailer. It’s not. The trailer is expected to be released later.
