Jeannette McCurdy played Sam Puckett, the sassy teen sidekick opposite Miranda Cosgrove, on the Nickelodeon hit “iCarly.” But that was then. She’s 23 now and exudes totally grown up sensuality in Bello magazine’s new “Sexy” issue.
McCurdy, like many teen stars, is making the often difficult transition to more mature roles.
Luckily, she has a sex kitten sensuality that channels a ’60s siren Brigitte Bardot. No wonder the fashion and entertainment magazine picked her to cover the issue.
The editors kind of say it all. She personifies smart, funny, beautiful, and sexy. It calls her both free-spirited and down-to-earth, with humility confidence, intellect and beauty.
And, she can sing! Her self-titled debut country EP was released in 2012 on Capitol Records, Nashville. It features the single, “Generation Love.” Her video for the song has been viewed more than 5 million times on YouTube. The EP followed her 2010 EP Not That Far Away.
She’s currently starring in “Between,” a science fiction television drama series that debuted in May on Netflix. McCurdy plays Wiley Day, the pregnant teenage daughter of a minister living in a small town with big problems.
The residents are being plagued by a mysterious disease that has killed everybody over the age of 21. The series was renewed by CityTV and Netflix this month and season 2 and will premiere in 2016.
