Bella Hadid took a big step at New York Fashion Week– out of the shadows of her older sister Gigi Hadid. The California girls captured the spirit of the Spring 2016 fashions and were the show’s unmistakable dynamic duo.
Bella, who turns 19 next month, has celebrity and modeling in her blood.
Mom Yolanda Foster is a former model and current star of the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.”
Gigi, 20, has dominated gossip rags thanks largely to her hot posse of celebrity pals like Kendall Jenner, Taylor Swift and UK model Cara Delevingne.
But Bella had sort of a coming out party at New York Fashion Week. Plus, her face, not to mention her toned body, have been popping up everywhere in editorial features.
Beside her sultry shoot for GQ magazine, she’s been featured in V magazine, Editorialist magazine and covers Wonderland magazine’s 10th anniversary issue.
She’s also been recruited by Victoria’s Secret. She’ll appear in new ads for its Pink lingerie line.
At NYFW, Gigi and Bella walked together for Jeremy Scott, Diane von Furstenberg and Tommy Hilfiger. Gigi opened the Scott show, and Bella closed it. That’s a real honor such a young model.
Bella gave a big shout out on Instagram. “Thank you… For letting me close the show today!!!! Feel so honored! Raaaddddd show lovers!” she wrote.
Bella also sent tabloids into a overdrive when she appeared with Canadian hit-maker, The Weeknd, aka Abel Tesfaye. The Alexander Wang after-party was their first public outing as a couple.
Bella is also an accomplished equestrian and has dreams of riding for the U.S. Olympic team.
