Lana Del Rey is daydreaming, again. This time, she has her eyes on boys in a new video for languid, soulful tune “Music to Watch Boys To.” The single is the latest off her new album, Honeymoon. It was released Sept. 18.

Del Rey isn’t showing much style deviation in her song or video.

Most critics says the song and album are closer to her early work, Born to Die (2012) and Paradise (2012). Significantly, it departs from the more rock-oriented (relatively speaking) third studio album, Ultraviolence. It was released last year.

The video also stays true to previous form. It opens with swirling water. The ephemeral image captures a woman caught in the currents to a choral accompaniment.

The scene cuts to the song title in pink neon; then Del Rey materializes.

The 30-year-old singer is languishing, possibly semi-conscious, in a lounge chair. A Mai Tai is on a small table nearby. The black-and-white image cuts to two girls (sea nymphs?) hand-in-hand in blue tinted water. Then a mirage-like scene follows. pink flamingos flock across the screen.

Lana emerges in black-and-white, again. Her skin is glistening; her eyelashes exaggerated. The boys, with tight, zero-body-fat torsos are playing basketball.

“I’m kind of enjoying sinking into this more noirish feel for this one. It’s been good,” she told Billboard about the album.
