Amanda Seyfried is one of the hardest working actresses in Hollywood with one of the lowest profiles in the business. But there’s no question she reigns supreme in the November issue of Glamour Spain. She epitomizes the new sensuality and glamour of Young Hollywood.
The 29-year-old actress is an industry veteran. She got her start on soap operas “As the World Turns” and “All My Children,” in the 1990s when she was just 11 years old.
She scored her film debut and a breakout role in the cult-classic teen coming-of-age flick “Mean Girls.” The 2004 film also helped launch the careers of Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams and Tina Fey.
She avoided the pitfalls of being a teen actress and segued easily into more adult roles. She’s never hesitated to take chances with her career, including the 2010 erotic thriller “Chloe.” It included a nude lesbian scene with Julianne Moore.
Seyfried and Moore share more than the film in common. They are both among the most under-rated actresses in Hollywood. Both have played diverse roles.
Seyfried has starred in everything from musicals like “Mama Mia!” and “Les Miserables,” to comedies like “A Million Ways to Die in the West” and dramas like her biopic about ’70s porn star Linda Lovelace.
She’s appearing in five films this year, including the big-budget fantasy adventure family film, “Pan.” Her other picture, “Fathers and Daughters,” is based on the black list script by Brad Desch.
Oddly, Seyfried says she suffers from anxiety, panic attacks and stage fright. But you’d never know if from her look in front of a camera.
For her Glamour spread, she poses for photographer Vincent Peters, wearing sexy clothes from Dolce & Gabbana, Stella McCartney and Eres.
Seyfried has been involved in fashion for years. She modeled as a teen and scored a deal to rep for Japaneses beauty products brand, Cle de Peau Beaute in 2011. She’s currently repping for Givenchy’s Irresistible campaign.
