Miley Cyrus is awash in swirling, kaleidoscopic colors in a new video for her song “Lighter.” She looks like a living Peter Max poster from the psychedelic ’60s. She definitely passes the electric koolaid acid test.

Cyrus who has become fascinated by all things related to hippies, collaborated on the video with Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne.

Jen Stark created animated kaleidoscopic colors that were projected on Miley’s nude body, of course.

The 22-year-old singer hit the road Thursday with the “Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz Tour.” She’s been shocking–and delighting–audiences with a new level of debauchery on stage.

She was scantily clad for most of her act and at one point she wore a strap-on penis sex toy.

She posted the video on her Facebook page and dedicated it to fans who can’t make a show on the tour. Miley played Chicago and was on her way to Detroit when the clip dropped.

Here’s what she had to say.

Fuck yeah! After our 1st show in Chicago (which was totally turnt) we loved seeing y’all singing along to all the Dead Petz jamsssss but seemed like this one was a fan favorite!!!!! For all of you who can’t be with us in Detroit tonight and of course for all of you who will here is the official Lighter music video directed by me and Wayne Coyne featuring Jen Stark’s bad ass animated kaleidoscopic projections!!!!

Beside the psychedelic projects, Miley can be seen toking on a fat blunt.

The music, however, is a departure from her recent rock-infused pop. The song is a moody ballad more in the style of Lana Del Rey.

The song is off her fifth and latest studio album Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz.

The Flaming Lips’psychedelic rock is an obvious influence. Cyrus also partnered with Mike Will Made It and Oren Yoel to produce the album.

Check out the video below and watch Miley let her freak flag fly. Let us know your thoughts and be sure to follow IM on Twitter for the latest music news.
