Of course, Kristen’s not anything like that. She’s acting!
The 11-minute film was released today (Dec. 1) to herald Chanel’s Metiers d’Art show in Rome. It followed two previous teasers.
It pays homage to Chanel, but it’s actually a movie about making a movie.
Kristen plays Coco as a young woman and dresses in fashions from the early 20th Century. Chanel rose from a seamstress to a top Parisian designers. Geraldine Chapman plays her later in life.
The film also features Jérémie Elkaïm, François Marthouret, Amanda Harlech, Jamie Bochert, Jake Davies, Baptiste Giabiconi and Laura Brown.
Stewart’s character is aloof and explosively temperamental. She doesn’t really see the point of the film, which only focuses on the “successful years” and has little faith in her hunky, but untested director.
When she leaves a script meeting in a hotel room, she’s ambushed in the hallway by a horde of paparazzi. She has plenty of material to draw on here.
Kristen storms back into the room and demands to know what’s going on.
“Did you schedule a press conference during rehearsal week?” she demands to know.
“You call yourself a producer?” Stewart shouts. “This is bullsh–t!”
“It will be great for our movie,” her producer responds. But Kristen’s not buying it.
“What movie? We have not made movie,” she snaps back, mimicking his French lilt. “How about we make a movie before we sell a movie!”
“It’s a commercial subject. People know that today,” he replies.
“What to make a commercial?” Kristen harrumphs. “Go hire another fucking actress.”
Whooo… temperamental! (But just acting!)
