Lawrence is making the talk show rounds to promote her latest movie,”Joy,” a biopic about the inventor of the Miracle Mop.
She’s already snagged a Golden Globe nomination for her role as Joy Mangano, a single mother of three who founded a multi-million dollar consumer products company after the mop vaulted her to fame.
Lawrence explained her work-a-holic habit by mockingly calling herself a “show pony.”
“I don’t stop working because I’m a show pony. I don’t stop,” said Lawrence. “I just keep going.”
“I’m a puker. I’m a big-time puker,” she added. “I get Lindsay Lohan grade exhaustion.”
Colbert marveled at Lawrence’s reputation for being a big star, yet still so “relatable.”
“I’ve talked to a lot of people over the years who are professionally famous and supposedly relatable, but you actually seem like a human being,” he said.
“Do you enjoy being a human being, because human beings have so many frailties,” he added.
Lawrence said she had no problems seeming like a person who is imperfect. “I don’t have a choice,” she explained.
The film is set to be released on Christmas Day, Dec. 25.
