By way of background, Justin kicked things off in November on Capital FM radio during a game of “To Bae or Not to Bae?”
For the unitiated, Bae is a not-so-subtle euphemism for having sex. Justin responded to a slew of names. When Lawrence’s came up, she was definitely on his list.
“Bae for sure,” he said. “She’s so sexy. She’s unbelievable. She’s so cute.”
Well, so much for Selena Gomez. Of course, it could have just been whimsical fantasizing, who knows? And, who knew word would get back to Lawrence?
But it did.
She appeared on Andy Cohen’s show, “Watch What Happens Live,” to promote her new movie “Joy.” The fawning host wasn’t about to bring it up, but a caller did.
“Would you ever tap [Justin]?” the caller asked.
Lawrence didn’t hesitate. “I’m going to say a hard no,” she said. Ouch! Talk about serious shade.
Bieber, of course, doesn’t have the best reputation in the world because of a string of juvenile and loutish antics. In fact, even a substantial portion of his own fans, won’t admit they like him.
Even though Justin has tried mightily to rehabilitate his image, 21 percent of his UK fans say they would never publicly admit to liking him, according to a new poll ticketing-hawking Web site Ticketbis.
It’s not hard to see why. He’s still a very polarizing figure. Between his haters and his hard-core Beliebers, there seems to be a substantial middle ground of deniers.
Maybe someday, when he starts dating Jennifer Lawrence, they’ll come around.
