Kristen Stewart channels the Euro decadence of 1930s-era film stars in her latest campaign for Chanel’s Metiers d’Art. Karl Lagerfeld shot the photos of his muse for an Italian editorial push of its pre-fall 2016 collection.

Stewart poses as a seductress awaiting her latest conquest in a Parisian apartment. Will it be a man or woman?

That question is left unanswered, but Stewart, 25, looks like she is ready for anything. She shows off her legs in decadent black lace stockings. They’re made for peeling off slowly.

In another photo, she buttons (or is that unbuttons?) her dress. Her bare porcelain chest is revealed, showing the round edges of her breasts.

Stewart’s stylist tops it off with a come hither look accentuated by heavy eyeliner and mascara, framed by her dark, tousled, shoulder-length hair.

She exudes the smoky sensuality of a Gina Lollobrigida or Sophia Loren, two iconic Italian actresses.

Stewart and Lagerfeld are consumed by mutual adoration.

She told WWD:

“Karl never turns me into something I’m not. But like all good directors, he is capable of bringing qualities out of people that are sometimes not as obvious to them. Karl directs photo shoots and always provides an environment for a story to unfold. And the way that occurs is very natural. But always under his guidance, which is felt and inspiring. It’s never labor intensive because that is against the nature of spontaneous art.”

Wow! Did she really say that? Probably not, but still the words resonate well with the photos.

Lagerfeld shared the love.

“She is a real personality. I don’t compare her to any other actress and she is really modern, whatever that means,” Lagerfeld told WWD. “And I think that she is perfect for the Chanel image of today.”

Stewart and Lagerfeld have been collaborating for the past three years. The most recent campaign was a short film based on the tempestuous life of Coco Chanel, who founded the fashion house.
