Ted Cruz portrayed himself as the most god fearing Republican presidential candidate. Inside he was an irascible, philandering scamp who sexually harassed women in college. But his true nature actually goes deeper than that, according to “SNL’s” Church Lady.

Dana Carvey made a hilarious return to the late night sketch comedy shows to reprise one of his signature characters.

Who better to expose Cruz as nothing less than Lucifer? Donald Trump (Beck Bennett) certainly believed it.

Cruz’s sanctimony was far from the worst of his problems on the campaign trail, but it’s what gave him his smarmy attitude and self-righteousness.

Church Lady got right to the point. “Here’s someone I’ve talked about quite a bit here on Church Chat but we never really met face-to-face,” she said. “Please welcome, Satan.”

“You can actually just call me Ted Cruz,” said SNL actor Taran Killan.

Carvey was quoting directly former House Speaker John Boener who called Cruz “Lucifer in the flesh.”

Cruz turned the stage over to Trump, “the presumptive divorcee,” who Church Lady dubbed the “Tangerine Tornado.” But he makes his triumphant return when talk turns to a running mate for the Donald.
