Kristen Stewart, who has been switch-hitting of late, denied her runaway libido led to the loss of the lead role in a “Snow White and the Huntsman” sequel. To the contrary, she said she booted the part, although producers blindsided her with the news she was out.

The normally reticent star, who is loathe to talk about her personal life, opened up for the first time in a new interview in trade rag Variety.

Her shocking side of the story, however, counters months of reporting that producers were incensed at her for getting caught up in a 2012 cheating scandal with Snow White Director Rupert Sanders, then a married father of two children.

Only two months ago, “Snow White and the Huntsman” co-star Chris Hemsworth floated the idea of having Stewart return for yet another movie to follow “Snew White” sequel “The Huntsman: Winter’s War.”

But Hollywood sources shot down the idea almost immediately.

Not only was “The Huntsman: Winter’s War,” a certified bomb, but Stewart was getting the blame for fucking up both pictures.

Universal Pictures suits may have been just ducking for cover. But Stewart confirmed one aspect of the story. She revealed she was blindsided by news that she would not star in a sequel.

“The Huntsman,” starred Hemsworth and Charlize Theron, who played wicked queen Ravenna in “Snow White.” Producers also brought in Jessica Chastain and Emily Blunt to give the movie star power. But critics ravaged the film and it performed poorly at the box office.

In the wake of the scandal, Stewart told the magazine Universal sent her “a few scripts” featuring her, but “none of them were good,” she said.

“None of them were greenlight-able. And I had a meeting with Universal about the places where the story could go. Maybe Chris was more into it. I actually don’t fucking know,” she added.

Stewart-Sanders cheating scandal exploded while “Snow White” was still in theaters. While the movie performed modestly well, it fell short of expectations. Only overseas sales saved it from flopping. The scandal was cited as a reason for turning off movie goers.

“We had been in talks months after that about making something work, and it never came together,” Stewart said, insisting the scandal was never a factor.

When Universal decided to go ahead with the sequel without it, she confirmed it was news to her. “I was like, ‘OK, cool. [The studio and I] hadn’t spoken in a long time, but I didn’t know we had broken up.”

She also said she turned down a cameo appearance in “The Huntsman.”

“I might just leave that be.” Stewart adds, “So now I’m like, ‘Thank God,'”

She’s got that right. Stewart was spared from appearing in another bomb, although she may have contributed indirectly by not being in the film.

All that is idle speculation now, but Stewart definitely added an interesting chapter to the picture’s saga. No word yet on the chances for another film.
