Cosby made the admissions in pre-trial depositions in a 2005 sex assault civil suit filed by Andrea Constand.
Constand was director of operations for the women’s basketball team at Temple University at the time of the assault in 2004. Cosby attended the school and became a major donor.
He invited her to his Philadelphia home where the assault took place. After police refused to press charges, she filed the civil suit in 2005. The case was settled out of court and all legal documents were sealed.
But Montgomery County (Pa) prosecutor Kevin Steele reopened the criminal investigation last year and charged Cosby with one count of aggravated indecent assault, a felony with a maximum penalty of 10 years in jail.
Cosby is due to appear tomorrow for a preliminary hearing to consider arguments in the case. His lawyers contend that Cosby was promised he would not be prosecuted when he settled the Constand case.
A judge, last year, released portions of the depositions. Cosby admitted under questioning that he gave women drugs so he could have sex with them. The latest admissions are from the same legal documents.
These new details from Cosby’s depositions come one day before he is scheduled to appear in a Pennsylvania court for a preliminary hearing to determine if his criminal sex-assault case goes to trial.
Cosby said in pre-trial testimony he met another woman, Therese Serignese, then 19, in Las Vegas in 1976. He said he gave her Quaaludes, a powerful sedative, before having sex with her.
He also said he met the unnamed teen in 2000 who masturbated him.
She was one of “five to six models” sent to his studio each week by a modeling agency. In most cases, the disgraced comedian said he did nothing more than give them a good meal.
Cosby also said he never took the drug himself because they made him “sleepy.” Under questioning, he proved to have detailed knowledge about the drug.
Serignese told local television stastion WPTV 2014 that she met Cosby at the Las Vegas Hilton hotel. He invited her to meet him after his show and gave her the Quaaludes, she said.
“I took them, didn’t know what they were didn’t even ask. I just was intimidated I guess and I took them,’ she continued. Then my next memory is feeling drugged and him having sex with me.”
She began a relationship with Cosby afterward an lived in his Las Vegas penthouse. He also paid her $10,000 for graduating from nursing school.
