Raquel Welch has the Best Bikini Body of All Time according to a survey conducted on National Bikini Day.
Welch’s bikini body is the sexiest in history, according to 2,000 women surveyed by Swimwear365.
Raquel, a former James Bond girl who shot to fame after starring in the 1966 film One Million Years B.C., beat out Marilyn Monroe (No. 3), Pamela Anderson (No. 6) and Brigitte Bardot (No. 7) to top the Best Bikini Body list.
Raquel Welch is now 75 years old, but is still a gorgeous goddess, thanks to diet and exercise.
Welch, who was hailed for her bombshell beauty during her 20s, 30s and 40s, said aging is tough, but an active lifestyle makes getting older easier.
Raquel’s anti-aging beauty and fitness secrets are a low-carb gluten-free diet and daily yoga workouts, Celebrity Health Fitness reported. “I’m doing my yoga every day: an hour-and-a-half of that,” she said.
Yoga promotes natural weight loss by reducing stress, building lean muscles, and suppressing appetite, said Miranda Esmonde-White, author of Aging Backwards.
Welch is a lifelong fitness fanatic whose low-carb diet excludes salt, wheat and caffeine. For exercise, Raquel lifts light weights and does cardio exercise on top of yoga.
Welch shared her anti-aging fitness and beauty secrets in her memoir, Beyond the Cleavage. The brunette beauty is obsessive about her low-carb diet and never eats after 6 p.m.
“I’m constantly on a diet, and I hate it,” said Raquel. “I love bread, pancakes, and burritos, and pizza, but I have to stick to the diet, because it makes me look and feel better.”
Low carb diets such as the ketogenic and Atkins diets fuel rapid weight loss by inducing the body to burn fat for fuel, said obesity expert Dr. Eric Westman, co-author of Keto Clarity.
Welch doesn’t diet and exercise to look good in a bikini, but to stay healthy as she ages. “The body beautiful is not a top priority any more,” said Raquel. “Health and well-being are more important.”
Raquel’s beauty secrets include regular Botox injections and anti-wrinkle face creams like retinol serums. She is open to plastic surgery, but said diet and exercise are the true fountains of youth.
“I don’t care what kind of plastic surgery exploits you get into, it’s not going to do the trick,” said Welch, who has her own wig line. “You absolutely have to have an exercise program. I do something physical every day.”
