Kim Kardashian Rocks Tiny Waist After 70 Pound Atkins Diet Weight Loss

Kim Kardashian flaunted her tiny waist in a corset as she showed off her 70-pound weight loss on Instagram.

In the photo, Kim sports a baggy black T-shirt cinched at her midsection by a waist training corset.

Kardashian has credited waist training for her small waist, as TheImproper has reported.

Waist training is a controversial weight loss trend some women claim slims down their tummies.

“This is a remarkable way to train your waist to be smaller,” said plastic surgeon Dr. Alexander Sinclair, who says some of his patients have lost up to six inches from their midsections.

In 2014, Kim said she wore a waist trainer several hours a day to regain her small waist after giving birth to daughter North.

Kim’s sisters Khloe, Kourtney and Kylie Jenner are also fans of waist training.

Actress Jessica Alba has credited wearing double corsets around the clock for three months for her dramatic post-baby weight loss after her two pregnancies.

Similarly, Brooke Burke Charvet said wearing a corset was responsible for her stunning post-baby weight loss after each of her 4 pregnancies, Celebrity Health Fitness reported.

“Wrapping your post-partum belly is a concept that has been around for centuries,” said Burke Charvet, who has her own line of belly wraps called Baboosh.

“It helps the swelling of the uterus go back down to its original size and it supports all that baggy baby skin.”

The 5-foot-2 Kim Kardashian, who weighed over 200 pounds while pregnant, now weighs 132 pounds and wants to reach her goal weight of 120 soon.

Kardashian’s weight loss secret was a low carb, high-fat Atkins diet that limited her daily carb intake to less than 40 net grams.

Low carb, high-fat diets like the Atkins and ketogenic diets promote rapid weight loss by inducing the body to burn fat for fuel, said Jonny Bowden, author of Living Low Carb.

Reducing carbs and eating healthy fats fuels rapid weight loss, suppresses appetite, and boosts energy, said obesity expert Maria Emmerich, author of Quick & Easy Ketogenic Cooking.

Other celebrities who have lost dramatic amounts of weight on a low-carb diet include Melissa McCarthy, who lost 75 pounds, and Jessica Simpson, who lost 70 pounds.
