Rick Ross Maintains 100 Pound Weight Loss With CrossFit Workouts

Rapper Rick Ross has maintained his 100-pound weight loss since 2014 with a portion-controlled diet and CrossFit workouts.

Ross, who often flaunts his slimmed-down physique in Instagram photos, has been doing CrossFit since 2013, Celebrity Health Fitness reported.

Rick said CrossFit which combines high-intensity interval training, weightlifting, and plyometrics helped him lose 100 pounds and transformed his body and health.

“I do this sh*t called CrossFit,” said Ross. “I call it ‘RossFit.'”

Ross, a former couch potato, said he actually enjoys his CrossFit training even though it’s hard.

“It’s a different type of workout,” said the Black Market rapper. “I feel good.”

Rick decided to overhaul his health after suffering two seizures in one day back in 2011.

The seizures, which occurred on two separate airplane flights, left him unconscious, and CPR was necessary to revive him.

The life-threatening incident motivated Rick to change his lifestyle.

“The most I used to do for exercise was stand up to count the money, you know what I’m saying?” Ross joked. “It was just time for me to tighten up a little bit.”

While low carb diets such as the Paleo, Atkins and ketogenic plans are all the rage among celebrities, Ross stills eats pretty much the way wants, but smaller portions.

And he eats a lot less junk food and makes exercise a top priority. “I still eat the way I want to eat. I just go to the gym,” said Rick.

Ross isn’t the only celebrity who has transformed his body with CrossFit.

Country superstar Tim McGraw credited CrossFit and the Paleo diet for his jaw-dropping 40-pound weight loss and rippling 8-pack abs.

And “True Blood” star Joe Manganiello is ripped to shreds, thanks to a Paleo-style diet, weightlifting and CrossFit workouts, he said in his book, Evolution.

Four-time CrossFit Games champ Rich Froning, crowned the “fittest man on Earth,” shared his diet and workout tips in his memoir, First: What It Takes to Win.
