“The Hills” alum Heidi Montag regrets the drastic plastic surgery makeover she underwent in 2009, and recently removed her size F cup breast implants.
Heidi said her basketball-sized breast implants gave her horrible back pain and made her life a living hell.
“They were so heavy they were falling through the skin,” Montag told People. “It was just too heavy for my body and I was in pain and uncomfortable all the time. I thought, ‘What do I need these big breasts for?’ ”
Heidi, who married fellow “Hills” star Spencer Pratt in 2009, said the plastic surgeries combined with the money problems she and Pratt had in recent years, were draining.
“I was in way over my head with the surgeries,” said Heidi, 29.
“I had no idea what I was getting into. It was very challenging, both physically, emotionally, spiritually, mentally, on my husband and on our lives.”
In 2009, Montag underwent 10 plastic surgeries in one day, as TheImproper has reported:
1. mini brow lift
2. botox in forehead and frown area
3. nose job revision
4. fat injections in cheeks, nasolabial folds and lips
5. chin reduction
6. neck liposuction
7. ears pinned back
8. breast augmentation revision
9. liposuction on waist, hips and inner and outer thighs
10. butt implants.
Looking back, Heidi says she took her plastic surgery obsession too far. “Sometimes I wish I could go back to the original Heidi,” she said.
Heidi and Spencer starred on the hit MTV reality show The Hills from 2006 until 2010.
During that time, the couple earned about $2 million a year from the TV show and from making personal appearances.
After acquiring a net worth of $10 million, Montag and Pratt went broke in 2010, thanks to foolish spending on lavish mansions, cars, designer clothes and partying.
Heidi and Spencer now lead a quiet, peaceful life in Santa Barbara, California, where they live rent-free in the vacation home of Pratts’ parents.
Montag and Spencer are more careful with their money after blowing through the $10 million they earned at the height of their reality TV fame.
“We spent more money and it was so unnecessary,” said Heidi. “Sometimes I can’t believe I did that to us and to me. It’s been a lot to overcome.”
Now healthy and happy with her simpler lifestyle, Montag has learned from her many mistakes and is ready to move forward.
“My priorities have shifted,” Pratt says. “We’re in a really good place.”
Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt will reunite with their former co-stars on “The Hills: That Was Then, This Is Now,” which airs on MTV Aug. 2.
