Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt may adopt a seventh child amid speculation they’re on the brink of divorce stemming from her drastic weight loss and rumored anorexia.
While it’s highly unlikely Angelina and Brad will adopt again, tabloids claim the gorgeous couple wants to expand their family.
“Brad and Angie believe that adopting an older child will make people aware of orphans who are often overlooked,” a source told InTouch.
“According to Angie, everybody seems to want to adopt babies when there are so many other wonderful, worthy and deserving older children out there.”
Unnamed sources say Pitt and Jolie would like to adopt an older child from Africa to fit in with their brood of six children: Maddox, 14, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 8.
“They feel that by adopting a child who is 10 or older, he or she will mix in better with their rambunctious kids, who are getting bigger by the day,” said a friend.
Meanwhile, divorce rumors have dogged Angelina and Brad’s marriage for months amid speculation she’s anorexia after her unhealthy recent weight loss, Celebrity Health Fitness reported.
Sources claim the 5-foot-7 Angie weighs a sickly 79 pounds and is on a starvation diet.
Brad is reportedly so worried he threatened to divorce her, hoping that will scare her straight.
Jolie’s skinny body has long fueled speculation she’s suffering from the eating disorder anorexia. In 2014, Jolie’s former babysitter said Angelina was hospitalized for anorexia as a teen, as Celebrity Health Fitness has reported.
Cis Rundle, a friend of Jolie’s late mother, Marcheline Bertrand, claimed she once carried a frail Angelina into a hospital after she collapsed from malnutrition.
Angie has never addressed the anorexia reports, but admitted she lost weight shortly after her mom died in 2007 due to stress and depression. Jolie has insisted she tries to be healthy for the sake of her six children.
“[Brad is] so worried about her dying and loves her so much he’s willing to divorce her as a wake-up call,” a source told the National Enquirer. “He’s watched in despair as Angie sometimes goes all day without eating a solid meal. She doesn’t have the energy to get out of bed.”
Insiders claim Brad has hired dietitians and nutritionists to help Angelina, whose skeletal body has alarmed him and their six children.
