Lea Michele and half a dozen other actresses wore eye-popping dresses to the Teen Choice Awards, baring all kinds of skin, including ample cleavage. What were they thinking? Don’t they know the audience includes mostly pre-teens and young teens?
The Teen Choice Awards is one of those pseudo celebrity award shows hosted by Fox Television.
It aired during family viewing hours at 8 p.m. Eastern and 7 p.m. Central.
The Awards are suppose to recognize achievements in music, film, television, sports, fashion, comedy and the Internet–at least in the eyes of 13- to 19-year-olds.
Of course, there’s nothing scientific about it. Teens vote for their favorites once a day, everyday, per device, leading up to the show. And nothing seems to prevent anyone older than 19 or younger than 13 from voting.
The “Teen Choice Awards” is not to be confused with Nickelodeon’s “Kid’s Choice Awards.” Still, its audience skews to the teenie bopper set.
As such, you have to wonder what Michele, 29, best known for her role in Fox’s high-school musical drama “Glee,” was doing wearing a revealing halter-top.
It hardly seemed to send the right message to young kids.
But she wasn’t alone.
Check out the photos and find out who also wore over-the-top outfits to the kid’s show.
