Justin Bieber manager Scooter Braun made an impassioned endorsement of Democratic Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton today (Aug. 8) and slammed Republican candidate Donald Trump for his “record of greed.”

Braun, 35, has been widely credited as the brains behind Bieber’s phenomenal rise to the top of the pop charts, despite reams of bad publicity.

Bieber’s latest album, 2015’s Purpose, debuted at No. 1 with the strongest sales for a male artist since Eminem released The Marshall Mathers LP 2 in 2013.

And, that’s after a three-year layoff, marred by numerous incidents of loutish behavior and arrests for petty offenses.

“A year ago, @yael [wife Yael Cohen] and I took a leap of faith and came out publicly in support of @hillaryclinton,” he wrote in a Facebook post.

Cohen and Braun began dating in 2013. He wed the Canadian health activist and philanthropist in July 2014. Cohen gave birth in Feb 2015 to their first child, a boy, in Los Angeles.

Braun explained his decision in the post.

Many of you tell me to keep my politics to myself. But I wasn’t raised to stay silent. I will proudly vote for Hillary in November and I will simply tell you why. I’m a father. And my son will grow up seeing the leader of our nation on television. He will be young and impressionable and could take words as gospel from our elected “leader.”

“My son should know as an American that Muslims are not evil, that Mexicans are a beautiful strong people, that men and woman in the service truly SACRIFICE for his freedoms, and that a woman should get equal pay as a man,” he wrote.

Braun’s Jewish grandparents escaped the Nazi holocaust in World War II, only to be caught up in the Soviet invasion of Hungary in 1956. They fled to the United States and made a new life in Brooklyn, New York. His father became a dentist and his mother an orthodontist.

“He should know the power of his democracy is a We and not about an I,” he said of his son.

“He should know his history being the grandson of an immigrant refugee and never take his freedom or his responsibility to his fellow man and woman for granted,” he added.

Justin who is Canadian, has stayed out of the election. Braun was reportedly instrumental in getting Bieber to turn down a $5 million offer from the Republican Party to play at a venue near the Cleveland, Ohio, national convention.

Braun went so far as to threaten to resign as Bieber’s manager if he accepted the lucrative gig, according to reports.

“Scooter felt the GOP was using Bieber as its tool,” according to a source.
