Pamela Anderson will cover Playboy magazine for a record fourteenth time in January 2011.

Anderson, 43, who broke the news on her blog on Oct. 22, 2010, is donating her earnings from the cover shoot to Waves for Water.

“I’ve just shot another Playboy cover that will debut in January for Hef, at his request – I adore him. This will be my 14th U.S.  Playboy cover.

Playboy and I decided to do this, so I could donate earnings from the shoot to Waves for Water. It’s an amazing group that supplies water filters to countries that are in need of clean drinking water.

It has already made a huge difference in Indonesia, Pakistan and Haiti. I’m so honored to work with Playboy again to support this life altering cause!”

For the January 2011 cover, Anderson posed in the Playboy Mansion swimming pool in a tribute to La Dolce Vita, the classic 1960 Fellini film in which actress Anita Ekberg splashes about in Rome’s Trevi fountain in a sexy black dress.

PETA AD CONTROVERSY

Pamela, a longtime vegetarian, also works with the animal rights advocate group PETA. In July 2010, Anderson stirred controversy when a PETA ad touting vegetarianism was banned in Canada because critics claimed it was sexist. Pam Anderson Channels La Dolce Vita For Record 14th Playboy Cover 1

In the poster, Pam wears a sexy blue string bikini with her body parts tagged like butcher-shop meat and marked “rump,” “breasts,” “feet,” “shoulders,” etc. The logo reads: “All Animals Have the Same Parts — Have a Heart. Go Vegetarian.”

Pamela, a British Columbia native, was shocked the ad was banned in Canada, saying: “In a city that is known for its exotic dancing and for being progressive and edgy, how sad that a woman would be banned from using her own body in a political protest over the suffering of cows and chickens.

“In some parts of the world, women are forced to cover their whole bodies with burqas — is that next? I didn’t think that Canada would be so puritanical.”
