Although Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have gotten all the attention for their steamy love scene in “Breaking Dawn,” Taylor Lautner and the wolfpack will be ramping up the beefcake in the movie with plenty of shirtless screen time.
“More abs! Sprayed on abs, more grease to make the abs look better!” says Alex Meraz, who plays wolf Paul, of what to expect in the next installment.
Lautner, 18, who was the breakout star of “New Moon” and “Eclipse” thanks to his rippling abs, has previously lamented how hard it is to maintain the 30 pounds of muscle he gained for the Twilight saga.
But Meraz, 25, told Access Hollywood he and his fellow werewolves Taylor, Chaske Spencer, Kiowa Gordon and Bronson Pelletier keep tabs on each other to make sure everyone’s staying buff.
“That’s what we always do [we say to each other], ‘Oh, your arms are getting a little bigger, your chest is getting bigger,’” says Alex. “We totally always do that. It’s very macho, but fun.”
Meanwhile, Robert, Kristen, Taylor, Ashley Greene and the rest of the “Breaking Dawn” cast have been photographed this week on location in New Orleans, where production on the film is underway.
Breaking Dawn Part 1 hits theaters in November 2011.
