Deepak Chopra says the best way to be your most beautiful self is to stop stressing and enhance your optimal beauty from the inside-out.

In his new book, Radical Beauty (co-authored with fitness expert Kimberly Snyder), Dr. Chopra says a healthy diet, an active lifestyle, sleep, and spiritual nourishment are the keys to help you look great.

While diet and exercise help you look good, Chopra and Snyder say you can never look (or feel) your best without taking of yourself emotionally and spiritually.

If you nourish your spirit and emotional well-being, you are far more likely to look your best and feel fantastic.

In other words, obsessive diet and exercise can only go so far toward enhancing your looks if you hate everything you eat and despise working out.

By the same token, looking good on the outside but being empty emotionally is meaningless and unfulfilling.

Dr. Deepak Chopra, a physician, is a devotee of yoga and daily meditation, saying both activities enhance your spiritual well-being.

Yoga reduces stress, builds lean muscles, and promotes natural weight loss, said Tara Stiles, author of Yoga Cures.

And regular meditation prevents depression and helps you feel more centered, calmer, and happier, said Chopra (see video).

While women (and men) have spent centuries seeking the Fountain of Youth and the elusive secret to ageless beauty, Deepak Chopra says you can look and feel your very best by taking care of your insides as much as your exterior.

This spiritual approach to mind-body health is something supermodel Elle Macpherson agrees with.

“Beauty comes from within,” said Elle. “I feel beautiful when I’m at peace with myself.”
