Fanning’s understated elegance was reflected in her black floor-length mermaid-cut Dolce & Gabbana gown. It spilled onto the floor and trailed behind her.
The 22-year-old actress’s dress was highlighted with metallic stitching down the bodice. It hugged her body and left her shoulders exposed.
Fanning went with neutral makeup for a natural look. Her blonde hair flooded loosely over her shoulders.
Stewart, 26, was pure androgynous butch. She wore a black Chanel jacket with a white blouse and black skinny jeans ripped at the knees. Her boots were gladiator style lace ups.
She went with heavy eyeliner and mascara with ruby red lipstick.
Her look has been evolving with her sexuality. She debuted it a year ago last January.
She wore a white blouse with a black structured suit jacket with matching slacks from Stella McCartney’s autumn collection. She accessorized with glossy men’s style loafers.
She paired the masculine look with chopped hair.
Since then, Stewart has joined a bevy of celebrities from Ellen Page to Jody Foster and Ellen DeGeneres who routinely wear clothes inspired by mens’ fashions.
She came out as gay in an August interview in Elle magazine.
In her latest interview in Elle’s “Women in Hollywood” issue, she had no qualms about how she has changed since she became romantically involved with Alicia Cargile.
“I’m not ashamed and I’m not confused,” Stewart said. “Things have changed. And not just with me — we’re really allowed to encourage this new acceptance to develop and be awesome.”
Stewart, however, appears to have moved on from Alicia. At the screening she was spotted with singer St. Vincent, 35, real name Annie Clark. She was most recently linked with UK model and socialite Cara Delevingne.
Stewart and Clark were spotted holding hands and kissing, confirming tabloid reports that they have become an item.
