Trump was more than happy to take an audience with the rapper. The President-elect has been virtually frozen out of Hollywood celebrity circle following the election.
He not only craves the attention of A-list celebs, but also hasn’t been able to score any talent to perform at his inauguration.
But Trump’s need to buddy up with Kanye goes beyond that.

Clinton won 88 percent of the black vote, compared with 8 percent for Trump, according to exit polling by the Edison Research Center.
In fact, Trump bragged after the election that blacks helped his campaign by now showing up to vote. His boast came amid a number of reports that African-Americans were the target of voter suppression efforts in a number of states.

West gave a rundown of the meeting afterward on Twitter.
“I wanted to meet with Trump today to discuss multicultural issues,” he wrote.
“These issues included bullying, supporting teachers, modernizing curriculums (sic), and violence in Chicago. I feel it is important to have a direct line of communication with our future President if we truly want change,” he added.
Trump walked West out of the building and posed for photographs, something he hasn’t done with a number of high-ranking business and government officials who’ve paid visits since his election.
“He’s a good man. We’ve been friends for a long time,” Trump told reporters.
West has frequently talked about running for president and added the hashtag #2024 on his tweets. But his appearance was only the second since his release from the hospital after suffering a breakdown.
West canceled the remainder of his Saint Pablo tour, after his concern in San Jose, Calif., veered off track into a 25-minute political harangue that he ended by saying he “would’ve voted for Trump” if he’d voted.
Wife Kim Kardashian and the Kardashian clan supported Clinton.
