Kate Gosselin’s celebrity lifestyle is finally catching up to her kids; Sextuplets Alexis and Collin reportedly have been expelled from their private Pennsylvania school because of bad behavior, according to an explosive report.
Kate has repeatedly said she is a hands-on mother who puts her children first, even as she spent days at a time in New York and Los Angeles and countless hours on the sets of her own reality show, “Kate Plus 8,” and “Dancing With the Stars.”
“They’ve fought with their peers, called them nasty names and made fun of other kids,” a source told In Touch Weekly magazine.
Kate has steadfastly maintained that the hours spent filming the kids has not had a detrimental affect on their upbringing.
In fact, she has maintained that kids claimed to miss filming when ex-husband Jon Gosselin temporarily halted production on the show out of the children’s welfare.
Critics accused Jon of trying to use the kids as leverage to get a better divorce settlement. But it turns out his concerns may well have been legitimate.
Pennsylvania authorities investigated the conditions under which the children were working last year, but took no action. That may now change.
Jon charged that the show was saddling the kids with behavioral and emotional problems.
The In Touch report suggests filming has indeed been an issue at school, and the kids sound like they have been exhibiting diva like behavior.
“Collin had such bad issues that he refused to get his picture taken at school because he’s tired of being on-camera,” the source said.
So far no word from Kate, or her network. Her show has been on hiatus, although TLC executives have said it is slated to return this month.
It was sliding in the ratings when the last season ended.
Kate has often expressed difficulty managing the family as a single mom, and was holding out hopes of finding a male companion.
But so far there appear to be no takers.
