Gwyneth Paltrow, hot off her singing debut on the Country Music Awards, will show off her singing and dancing skills again this week when she guest stars on Fox’s hit show “Glee.” Here’s a sneak peek!
In the episode, which airs Tuesday, Nov. 16, Paltrow, plays a substitute teachers at William McKinley High, who must prove her singing cred before skeptical members of the club.
She breaks into a sanitized version of Cee Lo’s controversial song “Fu*k You.” For the show, the lyric has been changed to “Forget You.’
Paltrow, 38, who is not known for singing, looks downright hot wearing a sexy mini-skirt and black knee-high boots.
The show opens when Paltrow’s characterm Holly Holiday, substitutes for Matthew Morrison’s character Will Schuester, who gets sick with “monkey flu.”
Paltrow, who said she was so nervous she couldn’t eat or sleep before her live CMA performance, felt much more at home on the Glee production stage.
“She loved it, actually. She’s just the best. She’s the easiest, breeziest girl around – she’s such a professional. She was so prepared, she worked so hard,” said the show’s creator Ryan Murphy.
Cee Lo was awestruck when he learned Paltrow would be singing the song.
“I really am just flattered that not only Glee covered it, but it was Gwyneth singing. That’s just, that’s too awesome.”
Paltrow also performs a mash-up of Rihanna’s “Umbrella” and “Singin’ In The Rain.”
“They are singing and dancing their hearts out and Gwyneth is leading them. She’s amazin,” said Jane Lynch, who plays Glee nemesis Sue Sylvester.
