Just days after wife Scarlett Johansson was named GQ’s Babe of the Year, Canadian hottie Ryan Reynolds has been crowned the Sexiest Man Alive of 2010 by People magazine.
Reynolds, 34, is characteristically self-deprecating about the honor.
“My body naturally wants to look like [scrawny] Dick Van Dyke,” jokes the 6’3″ Ryan, whose action flick Green Lantern comes in June 2011. “When I stop training, I turn into a skin-colored whisper.”
Reynolds, the youngest of four brothers, worked out nonstop to get in shape for Green Lantern.
“You just have to go with the flow,” he says of his new title. “This gives my family entree into teasing me for the rest of my life.”
Ryan says getting used to his newfound status will take some adjustment at home with wife Scarlett, 26.
“Now it’s going to be, ‘Sexiest Man, take out the garbage.’ That does sound better,” jokes Ryan. “The most difficult part is going to be organically working this title into a conversation with random strangers.”
Other Sexist Man honorees include Breaking Dawn hunk Kellan Lutz, Justin Timberlake, Jake Gyllenhaal, Drake, Grey’s Anatomy star Jesse Williams, Glee cutie Matthew Morrison, Mad Men star Jon Hamm and True Blood hottie Joe Manganiello.
