Quincy Davis is catching a wave in her career, not only as a pro surfer, but also as a budding fashion model. The 22-year-old champion is featured in a new swimwear campaign for Free People and Waves for Water, a non-profit group that promotes clean water.

Davis literally grew up on the beach. She was born in Montauk, New York, a resort town on the vert tip of Long Island, almost 100 miles from New York City. The area is known as an East Coast surfing hotspot.

She started surfing when she was seven and comes from a family of surfers, according to her official bio. She began entering competitions, but always against boys, because there were never any girls in her age division. Her skill stood out and she slowly graduated to bigger and bigger competitions.

Her biggest wins came in 2013– she finished 3rd in the U.S. Open, Pro Junior competition–and 2015; she finished first on the Corona Extra Pro Surf Circuit in Puerto Rico, where the family has a summer home.

Outside of surfing, her passions include music, Christmas movies and fashion. In 2013, she collaborated with sponsor Volcom, on a clothing collection for Spring and Fall.

In her latest fashion spread, she poses for Free People in lightweight rompers, one-piece swimsuits and printed bodysuits. She accessorizes with bags and statement sunglasses. Her tee-shirts are limited-edition designs for Waves for Water. Each shirt purchase goes toward a $50,000 donation to the organization.
