Porn star Capri Anderson, aka Christina Walsh, has followed through on her threat and filed a criminal complaint against actor Charlie Sheen over the star’s raging hotel suite meltdown that left her cowering naked in the bathroom.
The complaint charges Sheen with second-degree harassment, a misdemeanor. The case will essentially come down to her word against his. But Anderson has some powerful ammunition.
Sheen’s history of domestic violence, including using threats, physical assault and brandishing a deadly weapon, all involving his ex-wife Brooke Mueller, will definitely work against him.
Sheen’s lawyers countered with a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles, accusing her of trying to extort money from the actor.
Lawyers charged Anderson “fabricated a sensational tale about being assaulted, battered and held against her will, and used that fictional story as a basis for an extortion plot.
She reportedly demanded $1 million, and threatened to embarrass and damage his career by going to the media.
Sheen seeks unspecified damages, as well as “compensatory damages” of at least $165,000 for the watch he claims Anderson took during their encounter, according to reports.
Sheen’s lawyer, Yale Gartner is trying mightily to undermine Anderson’s credibility after she appeared yesterday (Nov. 22) on ABC’s “Good Morning America” and “Nightline” to tell her side of the story.
His ex-wife, Denise Richards, apparently was among Sheen’s entourage for at least part of the night.
After drinking and snorting cocaine, Sheen apparently turned into a bore and a lout.
“He was, from the beginning of the night, very loud and he had no hesitations when it came to using derogatory language or cuss words,” Anderson tells “Nightline,” according to an ABC press release.
During the ABC interview, Anderson, who appeared poised and articulate, described how Sheen went wild.
The network claims she was not paid to appear.
Sheen reportedly had offered Anderson $20,000 to cover her expenses for her traumatic evening with the actor, according to gossip site, TMZ. Anderson reportedly turned down the money.
Sheen is the highest paid actor currently on television. He stars in the hit sit-com “Two and a Half Men,” and reportedly makes close to $2 million an episode.
Police were called th Sheen’s posh Plaza Hotel suite on Manhattan’s trendy Upper East Side on Oct 10, after hotel security found him naked in his trashed room.
Anderson told ABC she was forced to lock herself in the bathroom in terror after the star accused her of taking his watch and began hurling insults, racial epithets and throwing items around the hotel room.
The 22 year old met with detectives from the New York Police Department (NYPD) at her attorney’s Manhattan office on Monday (Nov. 22).
