Tiger Mistress Rachel Uchitel on Today: I Need Help (video)

Tiger Woods’ alleged mistress Rachel Uchitel is on the promotion trail for the upcoming reality show “Celebrity Rehab,” and talks on NBC’s “Today” show about her so-called “love addiction.”

Uchitel, 35, has been trying to extend her 15-minutes of fame beyond the notoriety of being one of Woods’ floozies.

He bedded more than a dozen women — a series of cocktail waitresses, porn stars and prostitutes — leading up to his sex scandal just over one year ago today.

Uchitel was a New York party girl and sometime VIP club hostess when she met Woods. She had a reputation for chasing celebrities married or unmarried.

Unchitel began a seven-month affair with Woods that was blown wide open when National Enquirer ran an expose shortly before last Thanksgiving.

Woods then-wife Elin Nordegren discovered text messages between the two and confronted Woods on Thanksgiving night. That led to his infamous early morning car crash that ignited the scandal.

Uchitel’s shame ended in silence, after Woods reportedly paid her several million dollars to keep the details of their relationship confidential.

She has since moved to Las Vegas and has pursued several reality shows including “Dancing with the Stars” and “Celebrity Apprentice.”

She appeared on the “Today” show dressed in black along with “Celebrity Rehab” mentor, Dr. Drew Pinsky.

“I knew that I needed help,” Uchitel said. “And I wanted to get it from Dr. Drew.”

Uchitel also said she is being treated for addiction to Ambien and other prescribtion medications, which she did not identify.

During the sex scandal, reports surfaced that Uchitel had wild, Ambien fueled sex with Woods, who also was addicted to the sleep aid.

Ambien side effects can produce euphoria and hallucinations and cause memory lapses as well as lower inhibitions.

Pinsky said that Uchitel’s condition is partly triggered by traumatic events in her past.

Her father died while she was a teen and her one-time fiancée Andy O’Grady, died in the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center.

“I’m a completely different person now than I was before I went on the show,” Uchitel claimed.

Celebrity Rehab, “the most intense season” yet, according to Pinsky premieres on Wednesday (Dec. 1) at 10/9c on VH1.
