Donald Trump’s relentless attacks on the news media, lawmakers and critics are in the spotlight in the wake of what appears to be several targeted bombing attempts aimed at the people who Trump has repeatedly singled-out with hate speech on the campaign trail.
Stop blaming others. Look in the mirror. Your inflammatory rhetoric, insults, lies, & encouragement of physical violence are disgraceful. Clean up your act….try to act Presidential. The American people deserve much better. BTW, your critics will not be intimidated into silence. https://t.co/cS5qNiuU7o

Fox News and Republicans are trying to shift blame to Democrats, while the mainstream media have been reluctant to draw a direct connection between Trump’s campaign rhetoric and the bomber.
But late-night comics and Hollywood celebrities are putting the blame squarely on the president’s shoulders.
Jim Carrey, who has chronicled the Trump milieu in a series of paintings, released a shocking new rendering of the president with a bomb in his mouth. He captioned the painting on Twitter:
“Today they tried to murder two Presidents as well as public servants and journalists. Make no mistake, these terrorists were encouraged and emboldened by the hate speech of Donald Trump. If you can’t see the clear menace of this man’s influence by now then you are a part of it.”
Last month, Carrey eerily Tweeted: “Donald Trump is now inciting civil unrest at his rallies, threatening the safety of our citizens. A real President doesn’t do this. A real congress won’t allow him to.”
The attacker has been dubbed the “MAGABomber” because the exclusive targets have been prominent Democrats like former presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, as well as cable news network CNN.
Also targeted were liberal philanthropist George Soros, who is Jewish; Trump critics Reps. Maxine Waters and Deborah Wasserman Schultz, former Obama Attorney General Eric Holder and former CIA head John Brennan, also has been a outspoken Trump critic.
Today, actor Robert De Niro and former Vice President Joe Biden became the latest target, according to the NYPD.
So far, 10 devices, described as rudimentary pipe bombs, have been discovered. None has exploded.
Late Night comedian Stephen Colbert revealed a spoof sketch of the bomber wearing a Trump “Make America Great Again,” hat.
