Nicole Richie and Paris Hilton were once best friends, but the blonde celebrity will be noticeably absent when Richie gets married this weekend to her long-time beau, musician Joel Madden, 31
Richie, 29, has refused to even speak about Hilton. But 75 other quests are expected to be there including Ashlee Simpson and Christina Aguilera, still smarting from the release of semi-naked photos this week.
The wedding is set to be held this weekend at the Bel Air estate of her father, legendary singer Lionel Richie.
It’s considered one of the hottest tickets in Hollywood, so Paris would likely want to be there, especially since she and Nicole were childhood best friends.
Their friendship developed into a reality show “The Simple Life,” in which both starred. They were put in different social situations and forced to cope.
But in 2005, the duo had a falling out, and Richie remains bitter to this day.
“I don’t speak about her,” Richie said earlier this year.
“Nicole’s wedding will be super small, and a lot of people who have played a role in her life like Paris have been cut from the guest list,” a source told London’s Daily Mail.
The falling out occurred after Richie decided to settle down, while Hilton continued to party.
Nicole has a daughter Harlow and son Sparrow with Madden.
