Twilight star Robert Pattinson has a new leading lady, who doesn’t looking anything like Kristen Stewart. She’s the dazzling Reese Witherspoon. Get a first look in the newly released trailer for “Water for Elephants.”
The film adaption of Sara Gruen’s bestselling novel is about a sensitive veterinary student who joins a small traveling circus run by a brutal animal trainer with a lovely but tortured young wife, Marlena Rosenbluth.
It all unfolds during the Great Depression. The vet, played by Pattinson, falls for the older woman, the wife, of course, played by Witherspoon.
Pattinson’s character, Jacob Janowski, joins the circus after his parents are killed.
The story is told through flashbacks when Janowski is 90 years old.
He recounts his time with “The Benzini Brothers Most Spectacular Show on Earth” and his obsession for Marlena, whose husband August is played by Christoph Waltz, the Oscar-winner villain from “Inglorious Basterds.”
Check out the chemistry between Rob and Reese. Kind of makes you wonder about what kind of couple they would make!
