The new song was slated to officially debut on Tuesday (Jan. 11), but Brit tweeted: “Don’t #HOLDITAGAINSTME for coming out early. I couldn’t wait any longer. Hope you don’t mind…..”
“Heard an early demo of my new single leaked. If u think that’s good, wait til you hear the real one Tuesday,” Spears wrote.
The track’s artwork, a close-up of the pop princess’ face partially covered by her blond locks, also has surfaced. Britney Tweeted the photo to her fans.
Britney’s new album is expected to be released in March, according to MTV.
In the leaked demo, singer/songwriter Bonnie McKee sings Spears’ part. The song is about uncontrolled lust for someone she meets in a crowd.
Here are some of the lyrics:
“If I feel my heart was beating loud
If we could escape the crowd somehow
If I said I want your body now
Would you hold it against me?
‘Cause you feel like paradise
And I need a vacation tonight
“That version of hold it against me is really really old… it don’t sound like that anymore… it’s WAY better :-p,” Dr. Luke Tweeted.
Britney is also hard at work on a video. A notice about auditions was sent out by her camp last month, according to a fan site.
The video is also expected to drop this week. “Hold It Against Me” will be drop on iTunes, Tuesday, at midnight.
