Jon Stewart made a startling revelation on last night’s (Jan. 31) “Jon Stewart Show” on Comedy Central. He suspected that Sarah Palin is a Russian Spy. Hmmmm… in some ways it makes sense!
Stewart zeroed in on Palin’s inane response to President Obama’s State of the Union address.
He used some of the same leaps of faith, and guilt by innuendo that Palin so often relies on to lambast the President and other political opponents.
He also based his suspicions on Palin’s startling lack of knowledge about U.S. history, the Constitution and the Founding Fathers.
It all started when Palin criticized Obama for describing the nation’s challenges as “our generation’s Sputnik moment,” because she said the Soviet Union’s space achievement in the 1950s ultimately led to its collapse in the 1990s.
The reason? The Soviet Union piled on debt to fund its space race.
“I guess that’s one of those WTS moments: Where to start?” Stewart questioned.
“Who would purposely twist around historic facts in order to put out such a willful misunderstanding of the president’s words? You’d almost have to actually…be…a soviet…agent…OH MY GOD. Sarah Palin may be a Russian spy.”
To make matters worse, Palin accidentally referred to “our North Korean allies” and couldn’t name a Founding Father on a Glenn Beck segment.
“You are totally a super-hot Russian spy!'” Stewart proclaimed, a reference to sexy Russian agent Anna Chapman.
Check out his hilarious screed.
