Rihanna Whips Up Sex Frenzy in S&M Video (watch!)

Rihanna shows she not only knows how to use a whip, but likes to lay it on the tabloids in her new video for single “S&M.” The singer channels a Playboy bunny and sports a barely there PVC wardrobe.

Veteran Rihanna collaborator, Melina Matsoukas, who directed the singer’s video clips for “Rudeboy,” “Rockstar 101” and “Hard,” helmed the newly released video.

Half naked, Rihanna whips gossip reporters, including infamous bully gossip blogger Perez Hilton, who makes a cameo appearance.

In the scene shows she leads Hilton, aka Mario Lavendeira, on all fours, for a walk around a leafy neighborhood.

Hilton raises his leg and pees on a pink hydrant, and Rihanna flogs him with her riding crop.

“Sticks and stones may break my bones but chains and whips excite me,” she sings.

In another scene, the singer is swarmed by reporters with gagged mouths in a hail of paparazzi camera flashes.

“I don’t think of it in a sexual way, I’m thinking metaphorically,” Rihaana told music magazine Spin, explaining the video’s symbolism.

“People are going to talk about you, you can’t stop that. You just have to be that strong person and know who you are so that stuff just bounces off,” she said.

The lyrics of the song leave little question what the S&M is all about.

“I may be bad, but I’m perfectly good at it

“Sex in the air, I love the smell of it,

“Sticks and stones may break my bones, but chains and whips excite me!”

Rihanna gave the shoot a thumbs up. “[I] had a fantastic weekend shooting my best/favorite video EVER!” she tweeted.

Matsoukas added: “Recovering from a colourful wknd of S&M with a hot red headed chick and I get to call that work… I love this job.”

“S&M” is one of two new Rihanna videos. She also appears with Nicki Minaj on the rapper’s next single, “Fly,” according to MTV.

Rihanna’s song was released on January 25. Check out her new video, click to go:
