Glee star Lea Michele is being slammed again by a conservative parents group for a racy new magazine photo spread ahead of her Super Bowl performance and Glee’s post-Super Bowl extravaganza episode.
Michele will sing “America the Beautiful” during the 2011 Super Bowl pre-game festivities in Dallas on Feb. 6.
Christina Aguilera will sing the national anthem and the Black Eyed Peas will perform at half-time.
Michele, who sports a sexy low-cut black dress on the March 2011 cover of Cosmopolitan magazine, is being criticized for setting a bad example for her young fans.
The conservative Parents Television Council, hoping to find sympathy from the equally conservative Fox Network, singled out Michelle for her recent provocative magazine poses.
“I think Lea Michele is sending the wrong message. She plays such a ‘good girl’ on Glee and a lot of kids look up to her persona. Then she poses very provocatively on two magazine covers which makes my almost-13-year-old son very confused and offended,” one mom told Fox News.
Another mom called Cosmopolitan magazine “irresponsible.”
“I think Cosmo is now taking advantage of the raucous GQ caused with their ‘Glee’ cover and hoping to cash in on the press that got,” she said.
Lea, 24, and her co-star Dianna Agron, also 24, were criticized by the Parents Television Council for posing in a series of sexy photos for the Nov. 2010 issue of GQ.
In a statement, the PTC called the provocative photos of Lea and Dianna “pornographic pedophilia.”
Fox, however, isn’t about to tamper with its two signature shows.
Lea, who is dating actor Theo Stockman, insists she lives a monastic lifestyle due to her hectic work schedule.

“I love to have fun, but I never did drugs,” says Michele. “I’m proud of that. Acting always came first.
“This show would be a huge pressure on someone who wanted to rebel and who wants to party, but I don’t have those needs or wants,” says Michele.
