Bristol Palin is showing the feisty combativeness of momma grizzly Sarah Palin calling Hollywood celebrities like Kathy Griffin and Kate Walsh on the carpet for “bullying” her. Bristol apparently doesn’t like being the butt of jokes.
The 20-year-old took the opportunity to sound off, during an interview with E! News host Giuliana Rancic that was supposed to be a tour of her new Arizona home.
But, hey, give Bristol a platform and she’ll try to score political points just like her mom. Does she plan to run for office?
Arizona voters are definitely crazy enough to elect her.
“I feel like I’m being pushed around, but I’m strong enough to handle it,” Bristol told Giuliana.
“It’s really strange. There’s so many celebs these days who are anti-bullying, but there’s an exclusion to that. We have these actors like [Kate Walsh] and Kathy Griffin who are like bullies.”
Walsh drew Palin’s ire because the “Grey’s Anatomy” star tweeted support for students at Washington University in St. Louis, who were protesting Bristol’s planned talk on abstinence as a birth control method.
“What does she know about college or abstinence,” Walsh tweeted about the teen unwed mother.
The speech was later canceled.
Griffin, meanwhile, has used both Bristol and Sarah Palin as regular fodder in her comedy routines.
Griffin famously made fun of Palin’s weight during a gig before U.S. troops, noting that she was the only “Dancing With the Stars” contestant to gain weight during the arduous show.
“I think it just shows her immaturity. I don’t think that stuff’s funny at all. She just has a weird hate for our family, just like her coming to Alaska and knocking on our front door,” Bristol countered.
Despite criticizing Griffin for making fun of her body image, she couldn’t help but return the favor, displaying the same vindictive streak as her mother.
“It’s weird that she’d also pick on my weight when she’s had botched lipo procedures andd stuff like that,” Bristol said.”
Ouch. At least Griffin has an excuse, she’s a comedian. She owes her one.
