Miley Cyrus has made mistakes–plenty of mistakes- but she also has a healthy sense of humor and put it to good use last night (Mar. 5) on “Saturday Night Live,” with hilarious send ups of Justin Bieber, Lindsay Lohan, and herself.
Cyrus hosted SNL, and proved her comedic chops. Is “Glee” next?
Miley played Lohan in her skit that featured Charlie Sheen with John Galliano and Moammar Gadhafi.
Bill Hader played Sheen in a talk show format for “winners,” a play off one of his many recent rants. Fred Armisen played Gadhafi and Taran Killam was Galliano.
Lindsay probably isn’t smiling, but Cyrus nailed her caricature, sashaying onto the set in a blonde wig.
“Things are great, my new movie Herbie opened 68 months ago, and Los Angeles court house just gave me my own parking spot. Winning! Duh!” she said.
But Cyrus’s best bit was a parody of teen sensation Bieber, who is one of her friends. She nailed his idiosyncratic crotch grabbing and winking gestures and squirmy body language.
But cast member Vanessa Bayer also nailed Cyrus’s. She played Miley to Cyrus’s Bieber in a skit entitled “The Miley Cyrus Show.”
Cyrus also played one of the Sound of Music’s von Trapp children, but that skit kind of fell flat.
Miley only sang one song, “Sorry, I’m Not Perfect,” that parodied of her many “mistakes.”
“There’s a photo of me being kissed by some dude, and Annie Leibovitz trying to get me nude,” she sang.
