Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber may have tried to keep their relationship on the down low, but with Justin Tweeting about it incessantly, well, the cat’s sort of out of the bag. Selena acknowledged as much in a new radio interview.
Gomez did a quickie interview on Z100 radio in Los Angeles, in which she talked about her “special relationship” with Bieber and the horrid reaction it’s provoking among Justin’s irate Belieber fans.
“It hurts, it really does. I don’t feel like I’m doing anything wrong,” she said.
“I’ve been best friends with him for a very long time. It does hurt my feelings a lot, but I try not to focus on it. I have a such a strong family and great fans.”
On the other hand, she said she can understand where they are coming from.
“I will say that I agree with them sometimes,” she added.
“I loved Jesse McCartney. I was obsessed with him. He dated Katie Cassidy when he was 16 or 17. I hated her — absolutely hated her.
“I was mortified that he was with Katie and I wanted to be with him. He was my screen saver!”
But such things ultimately seem silly in hindsight.
“I just did a movie [“Monte Carlo”] with Katie Cassidy, and she was the nicest person ever.”
Meanwhile, Selena has just released a new video with The Scene for “Who Says.” Check it out below.
