Cameron Diaz exudes a sultry insouciance in a new photo shoot for the UK edition of Elle magazine. The Hollywood leading lady says she’s come to terms with herself as she hits the prime of her life and the peak of her sexuality.
“I’ve gotten less cynical,” she tells the magazine.
“When I was in my twenties I was not very happy. But I’m a realist. I see things how they are and it’s hard to pretend that they’re anything different.”
She split from Justin Timberlake, 24, who is almost 10 years her junior, in 2007, ending a four-year relationship. She’s remained footloose and fancy free ever since.

“I’m a commitment-phobe. Don’t want to do it,” she said about marriage at the time.
But a little over a year ago, she hooked up with Yankee slugger Alex Rodriguez, and the relationship has continued, despite A-Rod’s reputation for wandering.
Still, Diaz, 38, says she’s in no rush to get married.
“I think a lot of people are married to people that they’re not romantic with any more. I just didn’t ever marry anybody that I then had to get divorced from. We break up. We move on,” she says rather philosophically.
Oddly, her new movie, “Bad Teacher” reunited her with Timberlake, and touched of a rash of speculation whether the two would rekindle their relationship.
Diaz’s character is a foul-mouthed, sex-addicted junior high teacher who gets dumped by her sugar daddy.
She shows no interest in the new substitute teacher, played by Timberlake, until she learns that he’s rich. Then all hell breaks loose.
“We’re good at being funny together. We know how to do that. That’s easy,” she says.
Despite rumors to the contrary, they are not getting back together.
Instead, Diaz seems very focused on Rodriguez, and has changed one aspect of her life.
“I have never, ever watched what I eat in my life, but I do now. I’m off the fried foods. I’m very thoughtful about what I eat,” she says.
“You have to give your body the right nutrients and really think about what’s best for it, If you’re gonna do heavy lifting, and you want to stay small, you have to watch what you eat.”
Diaz super-toned body is a testament to that.
Jan Welters was behind the camera for the shoot and Sass Thomann handled styling.
