Robert Pattinson continues to make himself available to fans, despite the many burdens of international fame from his run as vampire Edward Cullen in the Twilight series.
Although he’s mobbed at media events and fans continually come up to him while he’s enjoying private time outside of work, he’s never hesitated to show his understanding.
“I think all I can do is stand back and sort of watch it happen because I’m not used to seeing somebody have so many fans,” said Reese Witherspoon, during one of her promotional events for “Water for Elephants,” in which Rob also starred.
At one “Water for Elephants” publicity event in Australia Rob went even further, personally meeting with a fan identified as Samantha, who is part of the Starlight program in Sydney for seriously ill children and teens.
More than 3,000 fans turned out for the special event to get a glimpse of the “Twilight Star” but Rob invited Samantha and her family to her hotel room and the red carpet at the movie premiere.
In a separate promo swing, Rob was all smiles when he met with a fan in Berlin.
The conversation was somewhat awkard. “You okay?” Rob asked.
“Um, no,” the star-struck fan replied.
Rob just finished shooting the last installments in the Twilight series, “Breaking Dawn, Part 1 and Part 2.”
