Kirstie Alley’s incredible run on ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars” may be nearing an end after she posted the lowest scores of the night as the final three couples fight it out for the Mirror Ball.
Each couple will perform a final dance on the finale.
Judges’ scores will be combined with viewer votes to determine the champion. Viewers can vote up to five times.
At this point, Kirstie’s only hope is to ride fan sympathy into the championship. She’s been an underdog because of her weight struggle, her determination and lack of talent.
The 60-year-old actress got down and dirty and performed a strip during a freestyle dance with partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy.
She has grown noticeably slimmer during the very physical contest and she drew a strong round of applause after she threw off her long gown and stripped down to a leotard.
The judges, however, clocked her with a 27 score.
The three remaining couples were required to perform two dances each, one chosen by the judges and the other their own pick.
Disney star Chelsea Kane and pro parter Mark Ballas set the pace, opening the show with a red hot samba.
Kane, who is 38 years younger than Alley, wore a belly baring fringed top and pants.
The judges were more than impressed. Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman and Bruno Tolioni, showered them with 10s.
Surprisingly nimble NFL star Hines Ward paired with Kym Johnson did a quickstep and scored a 29 from the judges.
Although Kane appears to be the favorite, Ward could pull and upset. He’s improved with every show.
Chelsea, however, is the most accomplished. In their second dance she and Mark rode onto the stage on a motorcycle for their freestyle dance.
Chelsea added back-flips to the dance, but the LED lights decorating her costume died during the dance. The judges gave the couple a score of 29.
Kim came out for her second dance with Hines in a cheerleader’s outfit and Hines wore a marching band uniform. The finished the night with a perfect 30 score.
The finale airs tomorrow.
