Harry Potter walks through the Forbidden Forest to face off against Voldemort in the exclusive MTV Movie Awards trailer for the final movie in the 10-year series, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2.
Foxy Emma Watson presented the video to the audience and the clip is just starting to go viral.
The clip was a bit anti-climatic since some of the scenes were also included in the full-length Deathly Hollows trailer that promoted Part 1 last year.
“The boy who lives… come to die,” He Who Must Not Be Named rasps.
The opening scene, however, was the only overlap between the two trailers.
Hagrid, who is lashed on his knees in chains by Voldemort’s Death Eaters, tries to warn Harry away to no avail.
In the next instant, the screen explodes as Voldemort casts the deadly “Avada Kedavra” spell on Harry, the most unforgivable in the wizard world.
Of course, anyone who has read the books knows the ending, but it was interesting to see how the film brought the death struggle to life, especially the part where Harry takes a full blast from Voldemort’s wand.
“Deathly Hallows: Part 2” hits theaters July 15. Check out the trailer below while it lasts. Viacom is sweeping them up almost as fast as they are posted. Click it to go.
