Is Selena Gomez Getting Edgier, Sexier on Tour? (photos!)

Is Selena Gomez Getting Edgier, Sexier on Tour? (photos!) 1Selena Gomez appears to be cranking up the sexuality in her tour shows to distance herself from her good-girl Disney image, although she’s nowhere near the level of raunchiness of other top stars like Rihanna or Miley Cyrus.

Rihanna has played the sexual vixen and even dabbled in BDSM during her tour shows, while Miley has become a full-fledged rocker chick.

While the “Wizards of Waverly Place” star’s outfits are definitely more risque, they are still tasteful. Think Britney Spears early in her career.

They’re more like Vegas show costumes than barely there tee-shirts, ripped jeans, leather hotpants and thigh-high boots.

During her show at Darien Lake Theme Park in Darien Center, NY, she wore a sparkly, silver hooded crop-top and low-cut sparkling purple harem pants and sneakers.

At another show in Clarkston, Mich., where she wore a gold basque with a barely there pelmet skirt, short in the front and with a longer train in the back.

Although the costumes are tame relative to other teen stars, they are a departure for her.

Previously, while part of the Disney stable, her dress has been conservative, family friendly fare.

But Selena may be feeling more confident about herself and sexuality.

“When I was 11 years old, I had a grown woman who was a casting director tell me I was not strong enough to carry the lead in any project,” she told Glamour magazine.

“Now I’m doing things that I love, and I’m working really hard. I never want to play the victim or anything, but of course everybody deals with it.”
