Brooke Hogan Defends Daddy Date for Nude Unveiling (photos) 1Reality TV star Brooke Hogan’s family weirdness quickly overshadowed the unveiling of a portrait of her nude in a cage at a Miami reception on behalf of PETA. Dad Hulk Hogan, her date, didn’t help by goofing on the awkwardness of it all.

Hulk Hogan, of course, an outlandishly cartoonish pro wrestler (aren’t they all), is better known these days for family dysfunction, thanks to his run on the VH-1 reality show “Hogan Knows Best.”

They show featured Hogan, his then-wife Linda and his two children, Brooke and brother Nick. He eventually split from his wife, and raised eyebrows on the show because of his closeness to Brooke.

The show has since morphed into “Brooke Knows Best” which focuses on her pursuit of a music career, but continues to serve up a healthy does of family dysfunction.

Hogan was photographed in black-and-white by Jordan Michael Zuniga as part of a series called “Women in Cages.”

It’s part of PETA’s campaign to highlight cruelty to animals, in which scores of celebrities have posed naked.

“I’ve always had a love for animals, and I’ve seen abuse firsthand. It ignited my passion for saving them even more,” the star, who has a Pomeranian, told the Miami New Times.

“The worst part is that they are voiceless in our world.”

To anyone who has watch her reality show (anyone?), it really should come as no surprise that dad Hulk, 58, a 12-time wrestling champion, showed up as her date.

Needless to say, he was a little red-faced to see Brooke, 23, nude, although all her private parts were artfully covered.

Hulk didn’t help matters much when he goofed on the photo, hiding her private parts with his hands.

For her part, Brooke thought the whole father-daughter angle was sick.

“Im SO sick of people saying me and my dad are in some perverted relationship,” she Tweeted after the show. “Go home and do your own thing! Stop picking on me!”

PETA will get 80 percent of the proceeds from all sales the photos. The exhibition will be on display through Sept. 10.
