Selena Gomez made a stop on Canadian show “New.Music.Live” in Toronto and gave the host a lesson in how to rap. She rhymed Nicki Minaj’s “Super Bass,” which appears to be one of the Disney star’s favorite songs.
“I want you to rap right now, show us how easy it is for you” the host dared.
“Only if you all do it with me,” Selena replied, to squeals from the audience.
With that, she proceeded to cover Minaj’s song and most of the audience seemed to know the words. They rapped right along with her.
Gomez, 19, is winding down her Disney career. Her show, “Wizards of Waverly Place” is in its last season.

Like other former Disney child stars, including Miley Cyrus, Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears, she is trying to find her niche in an adult world.
This summer she’s been touring to support her new album When The Sun Goes Down. The tour is currently making its way through Canada.
Gomez has covered the rap song in some of her performances on tour.
Her first adult feature film, “Monte Carlo,” debuted over the Fourth of July weekend.
The ensemble picture also starred Leighton Meester and Katie Cassidy as wealthy young socialites on the hunt for men.
Monte Carlo received so-so reviews, but grossed $30 million worldwide, which probably covered its costs.
Selena says she hopes to focus on a movie career rather than a music career.
