Michael Kors Spring 2012 show, Mercedes-Benz Fashion WeekTransformers actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley shocked onlookers with her new scary-skinny shape at the Michael Kors runway show during New York Fashion Week. What gives with the once curvy model?

Huntington-Whiteley was plucked from obscurity by Director Michael Bay to star opposite Shia LaBeouf in “Transformers: Dark of the Moon,” the third movie in the Transformers series.

She looked toned and athletic in the movie and her role called for some action-adventure stunts.

She has also been known mostly for her swimsuit and lingerie work for Victoria’s Secret and has been hailed for her sexy curves.

Huntington-Whiteley, who is dating action star Jason Statham, 43, was named the sexiest woman alive by FHM magazine earlier this year and recently appeared in a sizzling ad campaign for Burberry perfume.

After shooting was finished on her debut role in Transformers, Rosie returned to modeling, and she seemed to start shedding weight.

Rosie, 24, says she has always struggled with weight. She revealed that she was told to lose weight when she first started modeling.

“When I started modeling, I was definitely heavier,” she recounts.

“I was quite voluptuous, in fact. I had a real baby face and baby fat. But I was a baby! I was told I had to get into better shape, but I’m quite stubborn so I didn’t.”

The leggy 5’9″ British beauty now boxes and does lots of cardio exercise to be healthy and fit, not just to be thin.

“I don’t just work out to stay slim, I work out because it takes a lot to be on a plane and be jet-lagged all the time,” she says. “It’s important your body is strong and toned.”

Despite her sleek physique, Huntington-Whiteley doesn’t starve herself.

I’m a big eater,” says Rosie. “And I’m an English girl – I eat pies. That’s why I exercise, so I can enjoy myself.”

Let’s hope she hasn’t gone back on her own advice.
